Fuel oil: sulphur, ash and sodium brought down in one treatment
A residual fuel oil parcel arrived with sulphur, ash and sodium all above the buyer's limits. One chemical treatment brought the three down together; flash point and density held.
What was done
Desulphurisation by chemical reaction with metal deactivation, dosed and stirred in the laboratory on the buyer's own sample, then applied at parcel scale. The treated sample was tested by an independent ISO 9001 laboratory in Hamriyah. The full report, with its reference number, is available on request.
